    Emertxe Courses Overview:

    We offer courses in two streams – Embedded Systems and IoT for freshers. Let us take a look into technical aspects of both courses.

    Embedded Systems Course:

    Emertxe Certified Embedded Professional (ECEP) course modules are carefully designed by keeping both student expertise level and industry expectations in mind. ECEP is logically arranged and systemically delivered to ensure participants build in terms of skills and confidence, therefore becoming a complete embedded system design professional. Course contents are subject to change as per industry demands so that we are sync to achieve the goal of placements.

     

    In ECEP there are 2 courses. One is ECEP Intermediate and the other is ECEP advanced. In both of them we deliver following modules:

    Details of ECEP course

    Linux SystemsIn the first module you will learn how to setup your Linux based development environment, understand core working principles of OS, execute commands and enable you to get started with coding in any programming language.
    Advanced C / Embedded C programmingIn this module one will be learning various aspects of C programming starting with translating problems into working programs. It will lay sound fundamentals using which you will also be able to learn any programming language on your own in future.
    C++ programmingIn this module one will learn the various aspects of C++ programming, delivered in a fast-tracked workshop manner. As a participant you will be creating working programs by leveraging all the features of C++.
    Data Structures and AlgorithmsIn this module you will be getting deep perspective of all the perspectives of all the popular and widely used data structures along with their pros and cons. It will also expose you to core computer science concepts, for instance modular design, data abstraction and information hiding.
    Microcontroller Programming and Communication ProtocolsMicrocontrollers play a key role in powering non-OS based applications specific Embedded systems. Controlling hardware and peripherals using software (C programming) to perform desired functionality is the core where Embedded programming starts.
    Linux Internals and TCP/IP Network ProgrammingLinux kernel offers versatile set of features in terms of System Calls. These POSIX compliant API’s  enable embedded developers to create multi-tasking applications for an OS based Embedded Systems.
    Embedded Linux on ARMIn this module you will be working on a ARM based target platform by customizing and booting the Linux Kernel on the target. This will make you hands-on with Uboot, Cross-compilation and Linux tool chain.

     

    ECEP Advanced

    In ECEP Advanced course there is one extra module than the ECIP Intermediate course which is Qt Programming. By learning Qt, additional placement opportunities can be obtained by students in core embedded domains like automotive.

We are now a NSDC / ESSCI certified embedded institute, which also means our courses in Embedded systems certified and endorsed by Government of India.

    Internet of Things Course:

    Internet of Things (IoT) is a very broad term that consists of a range of things starting from sensor-to-applications. Here at Emertxe Certified IoT Professional (ECIP) certainly focuses to transform engineers with skill-gap into ready-to-deploy resources for organizations working in IoT domain.

     

    IoT is very vast with this in mind, our course has taken hands-on programming approach in the Embedded Systems side and integration approach in the cloud and application side. Hence it will be more apt to call our course as a Embedded IoT course.

     

    Therefore this course enables fresh engineers to build end-to-end IoT solutions. It consist of following modules:

    Details of Our Courses:

    IoT ArchitectureThis is an introductory module that will provide you with an overall view of IoT. Starting with fundamentals and history, this module will briefly introduce you to understand various building blocks of IoT. Along with that it will give a futuristic benefit of IoT from customers point of view.
    Setting up IoT WorkflowIn this module you will be setting up end-to-end IoT workflow using Opensource and Amazon IoT platforms. To start with you will set it up in your local machine followed by replicating the same in a cloud infrastructure. This module will enable you to practically apply learnings you had from first module.
    Advanced C / Embedded C ProgrammingLot of books tell about what is programming and also how to write a program. But a very few tell you about how to translate a requirement into a working program. This Advance C module is an assignment filled intense programming course, which take a deep-dive approach to programming. It concludes with set of projects to build on.
    Microcontroller Programming using ArduinoThis module will give you hands-on programming experience with Arduino based microcontrollers. You will learn how to set up, program and debug Embedded applications running in Arduino platform. You will get practical experience in reading data-sheets, hardware interfacing and communication protocols.
    Python ProgrammingPython is a versatile programming language used almost in all application development. In this module you will be getting hands-on development and debugging experience of Python, starting with basics. You will be doing deep-dive into advanced aspects like OO programming, File handling, Package creation, Exception handling.
    Building IoT Applications using Raspberry PiThis module will introduce to building multi-tasking applications in Raspberry Pi with Raspbian OS. You will learn core Kernel concepts and apply them to build IoT gateway. You will also be exposed to a bunch of protocols using which you will be communicating to both IoT device and IoT Cloud platform.
    IoT Cloud InfrastructureThis module will give you IoT from cloud perspective. It will enable you to choose tight IoT platform, given so many options available in the market. This module will also give you hands-on exposure to configuring cloud platforms and derive right set of analytics from the cloud.
    IoT performance and Security in IoTFor large scale IoT deployments, non-functional parameters (like performance and security) plays critical role. This module will introduce and provide exposure to participants about key considerations they need to have with respect to these parameters.

    Personality Development Classes:

    DISHA:

    Disha is an initiative by Emertxe to guide our students with their career. Various activities are carried out under this initiative, In particulars are provided below.

     

    We all know that it isn’t that easy to build a resume. The students undergo training right from the beginning on how to build a resume. In disha training our mentors help the students with preparing a resume by giving them resume preparation guidelines (For instance – how to highlight your skills in the resume? what are the key points to keep in mind while building a resume? etc).

     

    The students are given a resume template and a sample resume for a fresher as well as an experienced person as a reference for them to build their resume. Afterall a high quality resume, is the one that puts an impression on the interviewer.

    Benefits of DISHA

    As a part of Disha training the students are trained on how to upskill their personal interview skills. There’s a saying that the interview depends on how you take it forward. The students are given personality development classes where the student can upscale their personality as a whole. As students come from various back drops it is very necessary to train them for the outside world which is so competitive. This helps the students to improve their communication skills, presentation skills and most importantly in setting positive attitude in them.     Soft Skills Training:

    Soft Skills Training is very important for every student in today’s world. Right out of college the students are not aware about the industry requirements and their work culture. We also provide training on how to face technical and HR interview rounds and impress their interviewer by overcoming all the hurdles. The main problem which students are students facing today is industry academia gap. We help them to bridge this gap by addressing them and training them in various fields. This helps them to transform themselves from campus to corporate. They become industry ready in a very short duration.

    Benefit 1: Practical Training and Skill-building

    At Emertxe, we strongly believe practical training is plays a key role in making fresh engineers job ready. Engineering education in India mainly focuses on theoretical aspects but not much into hands-on practical aspects.

     

    Such approach creates a huge gap between industry and academia. Keeping all these aspects in mind, we train our students in a practical manner by giving them hands-on training sessions. Here the students get a minimum of 5 hours of practical oriented training sessions for a day.

     

    The labs are well facilitated with advanced technology and there is always a lab instructor who can help them out with assignments and projects. Practical training encourages the students to learn and experiment more, thereby making learning more engaged and interesting.

     

    On an average our students build 40+ assignments in each modules followed by 1-2 module specific projects. By the end of the course they would have built an excellent technical profile as mentioned in the T diagram below both for ECEP and ECIP courses. As we all know, one cannot become an expert overnight.

     

    The more the student practices and explores, his/her expertise will become high.Most importantly practical work increases the students confidence. 80% of the training is by giving hands-on training sessions to students. This helps the students to gain more practical knowledge and will further become industry specific.

    Emertxe’s placement cell is tied up with 1200+ core companies across India. We are connected with companies starting from start-ups to mid-sized and MNCs. For students taking up the embedded systems and IoT course the placement begins once they complete the core programming courses like Advanced C / Python programming, which happens around 3 months after they join the course.

    These skills are essential for our students to stand out among the rest of the crowd. As they continue to attend more modules in the course, placement chances and opportunity to convert them into jobs continue to increases. Adding this with our technical and soft-skills coaching our students are completely geared up to take up selection process with placement companies.

    According to our statistics,  with our practical training most of the students get placed in 3 or 4 chances itself. Core Companies like Robert Bosch, Qualcomm, HP, Huawei, Honeywell, Cavium Networks, Harman, Sasken, Global Edge, Mindtree, etc. come to recruit our students. The average salary package is 3 LPA with maximum salary going upto 15 LPA. We set a new record in January 2019 by having 43 companies coming to Emertxe to recruit our students. Placement is a massive achievement in every student’s life and we help them achieve it.
