Admission process FAQ

How do I get admission into your courses?

The admission process varies depending upon the type of the course. For Emertxe Certified Embedded Professional (ECEP) and candidates need to go through a online written test. The test is conducted for the placement eligibility. The registration can be done at http://www.emertxe.com/registration.php. For corporate and modular trainings, the candidates need to get in touch with Emertxe and register for the training. There is no test conducted as it is not a placement oriented training.

How do I register for screen-test?

The candidates can register on-line at http://www.emertxe.com/registration.php. Fill in the entries correctly.

What is the purpose of the screen-test?

The online written test is conducted for the Emertxe Certified Embedded Professional (ECEP) program. Our screen tests are industry equivalent entrance tests. The purpose of screen-test is to filter out talented students.

Do you have any scholarship programs?

Currently we do not have any specific scholarship programs.

What kind of projects are provided?

For each modules one module specific 'mini-project' is provided. These projects are decided by the module mentor depending on the requirements in the industry. Thus they change almost with every batch and are equivalent to the industrial on-site projects.Apart from this one 'main-project' is provided at the end of the course.

Because of the high standard of the training and projects our courses are equivalent to few months of industrial experience which we normally show in our course listings.

How flexible are your class timings?

We normally schedule our classes during weekends or weekday late evenings/early mornings so that our mentors do not have any conflict with their primary job timings. This also helps the students in the sense that they also need not hamper their normal day time activities. As our mentors are full time employees in the industry, they have a busy schedule, which rules out rescheduling of classes. Thus we expect from our students to be regular to the classes. In genuine cases of absence, help can be expected from the mentor.

How is your training different from others?

Our training programs are different in three ways from others:

1. Excellent placement record: We have excellent placement record in the past and all our ex-students are placed in reputed companies. Apart from placing the students, we make sure that they work in the Embedded Domain ONLY.

2. Expert mentors: Our mentors make our trainings different. When we select our mentors, we do make sure that they have good communication skills, expression of thoughts and above all passion for teaching. All our mentors have a minimum of 3 yrs experience in the field/course they teach and are always up-to-date with the latest technologies. Rather than self-appreciating on our other features we would say that to actually feel the difference one should take our training.

3. Training approach: Emertxe's training approach is completely practical with over 70% of our course is designed accordingly. This is extremely critical from the placement point of view, which makes our training very unique.

How do you grade the students?

The students are graded depending on their performance in the Tests, Lab assignments and Project work. Their response in the classes also decides their grade partly. We follow the following grade pattern.

                  A : Excellent (80% - 100%)

                  B : Good (70% - 79.9%)

                  C : Fair (60% - 69.9%)

                  D : Satisfactory (50% - 59.9%)

                  E : Exposed (< 50%)

What if I don't get job after your training?

This scenario though very rare at Emertxe, always poses a big question mark to the fresher/students. In case a student faces such a scenario after doing a course, he is given opportunity to work on live ongoing projects at Emertxe's Development Division, which will add to Realtime project experience and increases the chances of getting Jobs.

What kind of mentor interaction is provided?

At Emertxe, the mentors maintain a peer-to-peer relationship with students. All the students are given opportunity to interact with mentors in classes, labs and practical sessions. Our mentors also help to do career planning for the students in the embedded systems industry.
